Tanya has been an architectural coatings formulator for several global companies such as Valspar and Sherwin Williams. She enjoys spending her free time playing with her dog, reading, listening to hard rock music, and watching pro hockey.

GRETCHEN SHEARER

Secretary

Gretchen is an analytical chemist at McCrone Associates, Inc.  She is responsible for project management and analysis using micro FTIR, Raman microscopy and PLM.  Gretchen as been a member of Aurum Iodide and has served as president, vice-president and treasurer.  She is a recent empty nester and is enjoying new hobbies including knitting.

TERESA BIXBY

Membership Affairs Coordinator and National Council Webmaster

Teresa teaches General Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, and Physical Chemistry at Lewis University. She is interested in active-learning pedagogies and chemical education research. Teresa also serves as the Webmaster on National Council.

DEB HOWELL

Historian

After spending many years in analytical chemistry positions at Nalco Chemical Company/Ecolab, Deb transitioned to the Regulatory Affairs area.  She currently has responsibilities related to export of Ecolab chemicals and equipment, including tariff schedule classification and review of shipments against export regulations.  Deb enjoys participation in two vocal ensembles and a handbell choir at her church.
