Students may present either a poster or an oral presentation.
 
 

The abstract page should include the following categories of information.  Separate each category with a blank line.

  1. Title of poster or presentation (use all capital letters)
  2. Presenter’s name and college or university
    1. Repeat line for each co-author
  3. Faculty Advisor
  4. Area of chemistry of the paper/poster (choose one from below)

Suggestions concerning the abstract content:

·         State the specific objective of the paper/poster

·         Provide a brief statement of methods employed

·         Summarize results

·         Give a statement of conclusions and direction for future work

 

Guidelines for Oral Presentation:

·         Oral presentations will be 20 min. long, 15 for the presentation and 5 min for questions and answers.

·         Moderators will terminate presentations that go too long and will start each presentation on time.

·         A computer, running Windows with Power Point, will be available.

 

Guidelines for Poster Presentation:

·         Poster elements should be mounted with an adhesive on freestanding posters up to 4 feet wide; either single panels of foam-core boards or a folding poster works well.

·         The posters will be displayed on tables.
